In the summer of 1962, after finishing 5th grade, Scotty and his mom moved to another state to live with his stepdad, Bill. All his friends were a thousand kilometers away, so he needs to make friends with the local kids—and luckily, there’s a good reason to do so: they spend all day playing baseball on a local vacant lot, and their team isn’t complete—they’re one player short.
