The Miracle Worker 1962

Michael Anagnons, director of the Perkins School for the Blind, offers Anne Sullivan, a former student of the school, a job with the Keller family, where a girl named Helen lives, who became both blind and deaf after contracting scarlet fever as an infant. She frequently has hysterical fits and is unable to speak, walk, or use cutlery. Sullivan agrees.
