Missing in Action 1984
Much time has passed since the Vietnam War, but one of the most painful issues facing American society remains: 2,500 American soldiers are listed as missing in action, and their families and loved ones know nothing about the fate of these soldiers and officers. Rumors are circulating that some prisoners of war are still being held in camps in Vietnam, where they are kept in inhumane conditions, brutally exploited, and subjected to torture. The government decides to clarify the situation and convenes a special commission tasked with traveling to Vietnam to conduct an investigation. Colonel James Braddock, a Vietnam War veteran, is invited to join the commission. James Braddock himself endured great suffering as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, where he and a group of other American servicemen were held for 10 years after the Vietnam War had ended. Braddock displayed incredible heroism at the time; he managed single-handedly to seize weapons, take control of the camp, and organize the escape of his fellow soldiers, who returned home safely... It was precisely because of this feat that Braddock was invited to join the commission, but the authorities had no idea how this delegate would actually operate on Vietnamese soil...
