Poor Things 2023

Victorian London. The mad surgeon Godwin retrieves the body of a young pregnant woman who jumped off a bridge from the Thames, transplants her unborn baby’s brain into her, and revives her. At first, Bella moves like a broken doll and has a very limited vocabulary, but she learns quickly. To keep an eye on her, Godwin enlists the help of medical student Max, who also seems like a good match for the girl, but playboy lawyer Duncan Wedderburn sets his sights on Bella and takes her on a journey where she discovers the world and herself.
