Doubt 2008

Sister Elozius, a strict school principal and staunch defender of monastic traditions, faces the most important decision of her life: either she will give in to her fear and openly accuse the priest of insulting an African American student, or she will keep her suspicions and doubts to herself—especially since something more serious might be hiding behind the alleged insult. This profound, personal struggle between Sister Eloisius and Father Flynn ultimately becomes a question of faith and justice in the shadow of a secluded, “closed” church organization.
