On April 26, 1986 at 1:23:45 during a safety experiment at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, a reactor explosion and fire occur. Alarmed firefighters without special protection arrive at the accident site, unaware that they are in the epicenter of the largest man-made disaster in the history of mankind.
