Tris and Fore leave the city and their loved ones for the first time and find themselves in a dangerous world beyond the wall separating Chicago, where a shocking truth is revealed to them.
They must quickly figure out who they can trust as the battle raging outside the city walls threatens all of humanity. To survive, Tris will have to make a difficult choice between courage, loyalty, love, and the need to make sacrifices.
