Alice is trying to get by after her husband’s death, left with a young son and no means of support. They move to another city, but her luck doesn’t change there either: the guy who won her over turns out to be a total scumbag. Alice is on the move again. In a new city, where she manages to get a job as a waitress, she meets a man who seems like her ideal partner, but she faces problems with her son: the boy has a strong personality, and it’s not easy to find common ground with him. Alice’s relationship with one of the other waitresses isn’t going smoothly either...
