At the urging of Senator Lillian DeHaven, who is concerned about the low number of women in the military, Lieutenant Jordan O'Neill becomes the first woman sent to the Navy's elite Special Forces training program. The best of the best are selected, and the dropout rate is 60 percent. But O'Neill is determined to make it to the end, through pain and extreme physical exertion.
