Morgan Sullivan, tired of his boring life and unloved wife, agrees to engage in industrial espionage for the powerful Digicorp corporation. He gets a new name and a simple assignment - using a secret device to transmit competitors' speeches at conventions. Despite the onset of migraines and a strange pain in the back of his head, Morgan enjoys his new secret life, but a chance meeting with the mysterious Rita instills fear and suspicion in him. According to Rita, the boring meetings are just a screen for the sinister operations of Digicorp, which turns its "spies" into obedient puppets. She gives him a shot and asks him at the next convention not to react in any way to what he sees there.
