Seven years ago, Dr. Doolittle, a celebrated veterinarian doctor living in Victorian England, lost his wife. Now he leads a reclusive life, hidden behind the high walls of his estate. The exotic animals in his collection are his only company.

But when an unknown disease threatens the life of the young queen, Dr. Doolittle has to leave his refuge and embark on an incredible journey to a mythical island. In search of a cure for the queen, he will clash with ruthless enemies, meet outlandish creatures, and be forced to show great courage and wit.
