A deep-sea bathyscaphe conducting surveillance as part of an international program to study underwater life has been attacked by a huge creature that everyone thought was long extinct. The malfunctioning vehicle now lies at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean's deepest trench with its trapped crew. Their time is running out. A pioneering Chinese oceanographer, despite the protests of his daughter Suin, calls submariner Jonas Taylor to help save the crew from an unprecedented threat - a prehistoric 23-meter-long megalodon. No one could have imagined that Taylor had already encountered this monstrous creature.
