Lara Croft is the highly independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who disappeared when she was barely out of her teens. Now twenty-one, she lives her life aimlessly as a bike courier through the clogged streets of east London. Determined to make her own way, she refuses to take charge of her father's global empire, equally adamant in rejecting the idea that he is indeed missing.
