In an antique store in London, the charming and well-mannered Paddington Bear finds a unique antique book. As he struggles to save up for it, the rare edition is suddenly stolen. Paddington finds himself drawn into the scam of the century by a famous but defunct actor who now advertises dog food and uses his talent for transformation in a treasure hunt.
