The Nightingale 2018

1825, Tasmania, during the Black War. Claire, a young Irish woman who had previously been convicted, had been begging British Lieutenant Hawkins for several months to grant her the freedom she was entitled to, but he took advantage of the situation to satisfy his lust. One day, Claire’s husband goes to demand his legal papers, but achieves exactly the opposite—the officer and two of his subordinates not only rape Claire, but also kill him and their infant child. The woman decides to seek revenge and, having hired a local guide named Billy, sets out to track down Hawkins, who has been transferred to another city.
