While searching for an interesting subject for his article, journalist Marco meets the famous female bullfighter Lydia. Their acquaintance blossoms into a passionate love affair, but all hope is dashed by a tragedy at the bullfight: a blow from an enraged bull leaves Lydia in a coma. Spending days and nights at the hospital, Marco meets Benigno, a male nurse. For several years now, Benigno has been caring for Alicia, who is in a coma—a woman he loves passionately, though he has no hope that she feels the same way. Their similar fates bring the men together, but Benigno is happy, while Marco suffers, unable to express his feelings to Lydia. Seeing Marco’s despair, Benigno gives him some advice: “Talk to her.” Now only intimate conversations connect the lovers, and perhaps simple words will one day work the miracle that Marco and Benigno so dearly hope for…
