Crimes and Misdemeanors 1989

Juda Rosenthal, a successful ophthalmologist, has a large, beautiful home, a loving wife, children, and many friends; however, his peaceful life is disrupted by his former mistress, Dolores. Dolores threatens to expose their months-long affair unless he leaves his wife and marries her. Meanwhile, Cliff Stern, a documentary filmmaker, agrees—at his wife’s insistence—to make a film about Lester, a successful producer and his brother-in-law, whom he dislikes. While working on the film, Cliff falls in love with Hallie Reed, the producer’s assistant.
