Belle Williams, the daredevil, is New York City’s fastest taxi driver. But Belle didn’t turn her cab into a rocket just to drive customers around for the rest of her life. She dreams of winning a real racing competition. And she’s close to making her dream come true—until she runs into police officer Andy Washburn, a talented detective and a completely hopeless driver. Washburn, who has fallen out of favor with his superiors due to a complete driving fiasco, is pursuing a gang of female bank robbers led by Vanessa, a cold, calculating beauty. Washburn doesn’t have a driver’s license, so he’s counting on Belle to help him catch up to Vanessa and her accomplices. Belle is given free rein to drive at any speed and break all the rules. And so, the most unusual pair of police officers in New York history—without a car—and a speed-obsessed taxi driver begin a game of cat and mouse with the cunning robbers. And they might just pull it off—if they don’t kill each other before they take down the criminals.
